claude.ai (web)

On this page you will add MMW to claude.ai as a custom connector, see what happens to your key along the way, and verify the connection.

  • The remember, search, forget, validate_memory and gateway_call tools in claude.ai conversations.
  • The same memory that Claude Code, Cursor and Codex see with a key from the same account and project.
  • Nothing to install: the connection is made from the browser over OAuth.

The local agent does not run in the web app, so there is no mmw_sync_status and no session history upload here.

  • An MMW API key (starts with mmw_); see the Quickstart.
  • A claude.ai account that can add custom connectors. Whether this is available depends on your Claude plan and your organization’s Claude settings.
claude.ai MMW
───────── ───
Add custom connector ─────────► MMW authorization page
you paste your API key → Allow
Claude's own token ◄───────── OAuth (client registration, PKCE)
(valid for 30 days)

Your API key stays with you: claude.ai receives a separate token, not the key.

  1. On claude.ai open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Enter a name such as MMW and the URL:

    https://mcp.mmwhub.tech/mcp
  3. Choose Connect. The MMW authorization page opens.

  4. Paste your API key and choose Allow. You return to claude.ai with the connector connected.

  5. In a conversation open the tools menu below the input box and make sure the MMW connector is enabled.

  1. In the tools menu the MMW connector should list remember, search, forget, validate_memory and gateway_call.

  2. Ask:

Remember in MMW: staging is deployed with the systemd unit app-staging. Fact key: deploy-staging.

Claude may ask for permission to call remember, then confirms the record was saved.

  3. In a new conversation ask:

How do we deploy staging? Check MMW.

Expected answer: Claude calls search and replies that staging is deployed with app-staging. If you saved the same fact earlier from Claude Code with a key for the same project, it shows up here too.
